مجید اصغرنژاد یکی از معترضانی بود که در جریان جنبشهای انقلابی ایران جان خود را فدا کرد. در تاریخ ۱۸ دیماه ۱۴۰۴، او در شهر آمل هدف شلیک مستقیم نیروهای جمهوری اسلامی قرار گرفت و بر اثر اصابت دو گلوله به شدت زخمی شد. پس از این حادثه، مجید در شرایط وخیم جسمانی به بیمارستان منتقل شد، اما مقامات بیمارستان از رسیدگی پزشکی به او امتناع کردند. او سرانجام پس از چندین ساعت تحمل درد، به دلیل خونریزی شدید داخلی جان باخت. از مجید اصغرنژاد با عناوینی همچون «جاویدنام» و «جانفدای میهن» یاد میشود. نام او به عنوان یکی از فرزندان ایران که در مسیر انقلاب ملی جان خود را از دست داد، در یادها زنده مانده است.
